Community General Hospital

Community General Foundation began life in 1957 when it was organized as the Community Fund to raise funds for a new community hospital. In just a few months, the Fund had raised $7.2 million, the most successful fundraising effort of its time.
Community Hospital opened its doors January 1, 1963 and merged with Syracuse General Hospital in 1964 to become Community General Hospital .
